BIOSPAIN is the largest biotech event organized by a national bioindustry association in Europe and one of the largest in the world by the number of one-to-one meetings (+3.300) and companies participating (+850). 34% of our delegates came from outside of Spain.
BIOSPAIN is organized by ASEBIO, the Spanish Bioindustry Association and each edition is co-organized by a local institution from the host city/region. On the 2016 edition, Biospain is co-organized by the Basque Government through the SPRI, the Basque Business Development Agency.
Following the success of previous editions, Biospain 2014 hosted 200 exhibitors, more than 850 companies and institutions and over 1.850 delegates from 37 countries. One-to-one business meetings rose to 3.327 (+20%) making Biospain one of the largest business & technology transfer partnering events in the world, ranked 5th in the year 2014.

The Spanish Bioindustry Association (ASEBIO) comprises close to 300 members representing 80% of Spanish biotechnology, both public and private.
Its members include leading Spanish bioindustry companies, institutions, and service providers. ASEBIO works with national, regional and European authorities interested in using biotechnology to improve living standards, employment and environmental sustainability. It is a member of the European Association for Bioindustries (Europabio) and the Spanish Confederation of Employers´ Organizations (CEOE).
